Title:
Processed Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) from the Southern Indian Ocean acquired during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0101 (2001)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a SeaBeam Instruments model 2112 multibeam sonar system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0101 conducted in 2001 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Amy Leventer). These data files include Sidescan, Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry data and were processed at sea using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Quarternary Glacial History and Paleoenvironments of the East Antarctic Margin; POC Production and Export in the Indian Sector of the Southern Ocean: (mooring recovery), and funding was provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation.
