Title:
Underway Hydrographic, Weather and Ship-state Data (JGOFS) from Laurence M. Gould expedition LMG0905 (2009)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Fluorometer, Echosounder Sonar, Thermosalinograph, Meteorological Sensor, and Navigation system during Laurence M. Gould expedition LMG0905 conducted in 2009 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Douglas Nowacek). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Temperature, Infrared Radiation, Conductivity, Bathymetry, Meteorological, Salinity, Navigation, Fluorescence, and Visible Radiation data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: the ecological role of a poorly studied Antarctic krill predator: the humpback whale and Linkages among mitochondrial form, function and thermal tolerance of Antarctic notothenioid fishes, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): ANT07-39483.
