Title:
Processed ship-based Navigation Data acquired during the Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0202 (2002)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Navigation system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0202 conducted in 2002 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Peter Wiebe). These data files are of MGDS:Nav format and include Primary Navigation data and were processed after data collection. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): SO GLOBEC: Water-column phytoplankton primary productivity, SO GLOBEC: Water-column nutrient analysis, SO GLOBEC: Mesoscale Circulation, Tides, and Mixing, SO GLOBEC: Krill distribution, physiology, and predations; Copepod prey abundance, SO GLOBEC: Seabird distribution and abundance, SO GLOBEC: Hydrographic modeling, both biological and physical, SO GLOBEC: Zooplankton distribution, abundance in the water column and sea-ice/water column boundary, and SO GLOBEC: Mysticete Whale Acoustic Census in the GLOBEC West Antarctic Project Area, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP01-96489, ANT99-10007, OPP99-10102, OPP99-10175, and OPP99-11731.
