Title:
Underway Hydrographic, Weather and Ship-state Data (JGOFS) from Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0306 (2004)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Meteorological Sensor, Fluorometer, Thermosalinograph, Echosounder Sonar, Navigation system, ODEC Bathy2000 Echosounder Sonar, and Turner Designs 10-AU-005 Fluorometer during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0306 conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Bruce Luyendyk). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Temperature, Visible Radiation, Salinity, Infrared Radiation, Meteorological, Navigation, Bathymetry, Conductivity, and Fluorescence data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Antarctic Cretaceous-Cenozoic Climate, Glaciation, and Tectonics: Site surveys for drilling from the edge of the Ross Ice Shelf, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP00-87392 and OPP00-88143.
