Title:
Underway Hydrographic, Weather and Ship-state Data (JGOFS) from the Drake Passage acquired during the Laurence M. Gould expedition LMG1411 (2014)
Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Meteorological Sensor, Fluorometer, Thermosalinograph, Echosounder Sonar, and Navigation system during Laurence M. Gould expedition LMG1411 conducted in 2014 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Andrew Thompson). These data files are of JGOFS (ASCII) format and include Temperature, Meteorological, Conductivity, Infrared Radiation, Fluorescence, Visible Radiation, Salinity, Bathymetry, and Navigation data and were processed after data collection. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Continuously monitor the fronts in the southern Drake Passage by deploying and piloting a pair of ocean gliders to collect approx. 1000 profiles of temp, salinity, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence and optial backscatter.
